welcome to the Capital of Kalinga Province! Located on the eastern side of the Cordillera Mountain Range, Tabuk is 514 kilometers north of Manila. It is bounded on the north by the town of Pinukpuk, On the east by Rizal town, on the southeast by Quezon town of Isabela, on the south by Paracelis, Mt. Province and Tanudan town, and on the west by the towns of Pasil and Lubuagan. Terrain is defined by rugged mountains with narrow valleys and rolling landscape drained by two major rivers namely: Chico River and Mallig River. These two rivers are major tributaries of the country's longest river, the mighty Cagayan River.

Being a landlocked locality with no airport, Tabuk is accessible only by land transportation. It is traversed by roads coming from all adjacent provinces but if coming from Manila or Baguio City, the best route is through the province of Isabela. Tabuk has a total area of 774 square kilometers and is politically subdivided into 42 barangays.

Population is a mix of Kalingas, Apayaos, and Ilocanos. Agriculture is the main economic activity. Chief product is rice. In fact, Tabuk is considered the rice granary of the province. Other farm products are corn, coffee, livestock and poultry. Fishing is done on its rivers. Manufacturing is limited to rice milling and food processing. Cottageindustries include furniture making, wood crafts, weaving and other handicrafts-making.

Terrain is mostly mountainous with small valleys drained by the Chico River and its tributaries. Seasons are not very pronounced but the months from November to April are relatively dry and the rest of the year is wet. The province is accessible by land from all sides but the shortest route from Manila is by way of Isabela.
